Service to Succeed (S2S)
Each year, SWE participates in Schlumberger’s Serve2Succeed (S2S) challenge. This challenge exemplifies the importance of volunteerism. S2S volunteers give-back to the community by volunteering at Children’s Hospital, Denver Botanical Gardens, and Dinosaur Ridge. Volunteers also introduce STEM to youth through events like Girl Scout Engineering Day, STEAM for All! Festival, and Mitchel Elementary Math and Science Night. In 2019, the S2S Team was able to impact the local and campus community and inspire others through participation in over 35 different events. Mines won with the Most Volunteering Events! In 2020, our section won 2nd place in the S2S challenge! In 2021, our section won the Gold prize!

“I chose to participate in S2S because I like volunteering in my community. I had fun meeting and hanging out with the other SWE members while also helping the community. My favorite event was the Scouts Day at Dinosaur Ridge.”
“I wanted to participate in S2S events to become more involved with SWE and spend time doing things that weren’t directly related to my academics. I really enjoyed meeting a bunch of new people and seeing the positive impact my actions had on the community. My favorite event was the Girl Scouts Day at Dinosaur Ridge.”
