Society of Women Engineers (SWE)

Colorado School of Mines

About SWE

Our mission is to create an environment where women can achieve their full potential in careers as engineers, scientists, and leaders; further the engineering profession as a positive force in improving quality of life for the global society; and demonstrate the importance of diversity. With over 800 members, SWE at Mines is the largest collegiate section in the U.S. and the largest professional student organization on campus. Members participate in personal and professional development through weekly lunches and leadership roles, networking with employers, and outreach and recruitment events for the next generation of women engineers and scientists.
