Welcome to the oSTEM at Colorado School of Mines homepage! We are the official organization at Mines for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people (LGBTQ+), as well as straight supporters & allies. We offer many opportunities for students to become involved with our chapter through weekly meetings, social events, and advocacy. This is a great challenge-by-choice organization in which you can decide which activities you want to participate in and which ones you may not want to. Additionally, this organization offers various professional meetings with companies and prepares students with easily transferrable communication and problem-solving skills. Feel free to check out our calendar! If you have any other ideas for activities that oSTEM does not currently have planned, please email us or complete our contact form.
Lavender graduation is a ceremony oSTEM holds every year for it’s graduating members. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic the event had to be cancelled. Our amazing advisors, Josh Ramey and Mary Elliot, along with numerous Mines faculty members helped put together a video to congratulate our oSTEM graduates. Congratulations to all graduates! You are loved and supported! 🙂
