oSTEM at Mines
Welcome to the oSTEM at Colorado School of Mines homepage! We are the official organization at Mines for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people (LGBTQ+), as well as straight supporters & allies.
We offer many opportunities for students to become involved with our chapter through weekly meetings, social events, and advocacy. This is a great challenge-by-choice organization in which you can decide which activities you want to participate in and which ones you may not want to. Additionally, this organization offers various professional meetings with companies and prepares students with easily transferable communication and problem-solving skills.

Spring 2026 Meetings
General Meetings
General meetings take place on Monday from 5pm – 6pm in East Building 250 (thats the new one with the parking garage by CTLM). This is a great opportunity to meet fellow LGBTQ+ students, hear about new events, and learn about various professional and community-related topics. All are welcome!
Queer Coffee (QC)
Queer Coffee is an informal get-together attended by oSTEM members typically weekly at a coffee shop near campus.
Currently Queer Coffee is 4pm every friday, but keep an eye on the discord for cancellations or changes to this schedule!
Spectrum Spark
The Spectrum Spark is a queer-focused literary and art journal organized by oSTEM at Mines.

Exec Meetings
These meetings are attended by officers, although anybody is welcome to come see how oSTEM works behind the scenes. The main exec meeting is currently 4:30-5:30pm on Wednesdays, held in the oSTEM room in the Writing Center basement.
Committee Meetings
These meetings are meetings facilitated by officers but attended by both officers and general members to help plan oSTEM events and projects on campus. These meetings are held weekly, and are a great opportunity to show up and help out with oSTEM without too much commitment. The Community Outreach and Advocacy Committee (COAC) meets 6pm Monday (right after general meetings), and the Social Committee meets 4:30pm Thursday. All of these are held in the oSTEM Room in the Writing Center basement!
