Yuval Peress graduated with Masters and PhD from Florida State University. Main area of study was computer architecture with a focus on branch prediction and CPU caching.

Chrome OS now comes in many form factors. From TV dongles, laptops, to tablets. An important part of that is the ability to provide apps with accurate sensor data. Normally, sensors are calibrated before being shipped (at the factory), but with time, air pressure, and temperature changes that calibration may no longer be accurate. This talk will present the research and work behind adapting the existing Android accelerometer “online” calibration to Chrome OS’s firmware.
