SPACE GRANT CONSORTIUM

Background

Background

The Colorado Space Grant Consortium puts on a robotics challenge every year in early April (11th this year). Teams build approximately cat-sized robots to navigate an obstacle course towards a radio beacon in the sand at the Great Sand Dunes National Park. We have had a successful team from Mines for several years. In 2019 we won the most creative locomotion method award and are attempting to win the most effective bot category this year. The competition is pretty laid back and our team is made up of students from all majors.

How to join

1. Contact the team lead, Kevin Eaton, using the contact form and request to learn more about the team and the upcoming roles this semester.

2. Decide if you want to join, and if so join the slack channel for the team.
