Mine Rescue team

Who We Are

The Colorado School of Mines Mine Rescue Team (CSMMRT) is a student club whose mission is to educate about mine safety and emergency response. We were founded in 2009 as one of the first collegiate mine rescue programs, and since then have competed against other teams across the country and the world.

We train weekly to prepare for competitions across four events: the Underground Problem, First Aid, Benching, and Tech. Training occurs between campus facilities and the Edgar Experimental mine for annual international, national, and regional events.
