MINES INTERNET RADIO
Mines Internet Radio also known as the Colorado School of Mines Broadcasting Club is a student run origination that broadcasts student radio shows and podcasts as well as plays music at live events around Mines. Our recording studio is located on the first floor of the student center by the SAIL office. Any Mines student is welcome to have their own weekly radio show or podcast!
WANT YOUR OWN RADIO SHOW OR PODCAST?
As a MIR DJ you will get to host an hour long weekly radio show in the MIR studio. DJs have the creative freedom to either play the music of their liking, do a hour long podcast style show, or do a combination of the two where you talk and play music.
WANT TO BECOME A MIR PRODUCER?
As a MIR producer you will manage the studio during shows so the DJ can focus solely on the content of their show. You will operate the sound boards to assure volume levels are normal, and to switch between the microphone and music. Also you will manage the streaming software during the show.
WANT MIR TO PLAY MUSIC AT YOUR LIVE EVENT?
If you are hosting an event on campus you can request MIR to play live music consisting of the genre your choice. We will provide two large speakers, a subwoofer, and a mixer. The setup includes two microphones that you can use to make anouncemtnts
